Snappers of all ages from Sutton will have the chance show their photographic skills on a charity competition.
London Wildcare Trust will give the wildlife photographer of the year award to whoever takes the best wildlife snaps.
The two categories are “In My Own Back Yard”, a chance to capture just what a significant role wildlife plays in our gardens, and “Beyond the Garden Gate”, a chance to record an image on camera that illustrates the wildlife of the area.
The money from the £2 entry fee will help provide free care and treatment for thousands of sick, injured and orphaned wild animals the trust looks after.
There will be a prize for the winner in each category, under 12, under 18 and adult, and the judges’ top 12 entries will be featured in the London Wildcare Trust’s 2010 calendar.
Entry forms are available from londonwildcare.org.
