ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984, SECTION 14 AS AMENDED, THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991 AND ALL OTHER ENABLING POWERS
MONTACUTE ROAD AND THE CARRIAGEWAY COMPRISED IN THE ROUNDABOUT AT THE JUNCTIONS OF LODGE LANE, KING HENRY'S DRIVE AND PARKWAY, NEW ADDINGTON
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIAN AND VEHICULAR TRAFFIC
1. Croydon Council, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate sewer connections they have made an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit pedestrian and vehicular traffic movements in Montacute Road and the carriageway comprised in the roundabout at the junctions of Lodge Lane, King Henry's Drive and Parkway, New Addington.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place
(a) no person shall proceed along the public footway on the east side of the carriageway comprised in the roundabout at the junctions of Lodge Lane, King Henry's Drive and Parkway, between its junctions with King Henry's Drive and the north-eastern carriageway of Parkway;
(b) in that length of Montacute Road between its junctions with King Henry's Drive and Wolsey Crescent:
(i) no person shall proceed along the public footway on the south-west side;
(ii) one-way working will be introduced in a south-easterly direction;
(iii) 'At any time' waiting and loading restrictions would be introduced on the south-west side.
3. Whilst the Order remains in force the alternative route for northbound traffic will be via Parkway.
4. The Order will come into operation on 22 June 2009 and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out in 6 months. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.
(Pedestrian access will be maintained where possible)
