Another person has been arrested in connection with the murder of a South Norwood private detective found dead a pub car park 22 years ago.
Metropolitan Police Service officers arrested a 50-year-old woman in connection with the Daniel Morgan murder inquiry.
The woman attended a south London police station by appointment, and is being interviewed on suspicion of conspiracy to murder.
Mr Morgan, 37, from Monmouthshire, was found with an axe in his head in a car park in Sydenham in 1987.
So far five people have been charged with the sleuth’s murder and one person for perverting the course of justice.
The defendants include Mr Morgan's former business partner William John Rees, 53, of Weybridge, Surrey.
Mr Rees and co-defendants James Cook, 53, of Tadworth, Surrey; and brothers Glenn, 50, and Garry Vian, 48, from Croydon, have pleaded not guilty to the murder.
Sidney Fillery, 62, a former detective sergeant, of Thurne, Norfolk, pleaded not guilty to perverting the course of justice at a previous hearing and was remanded on bail.
All five are due to face trial on October 5.
