A police car flipped onto its roof in Hounslow this morning - in the second cop car smash in just a month.
Two police officers were repsonding to an emergency call when they collided with another car, at the A4 junction with Lampton Road, at 8.40am today.
The officers, and the driver of the other car, were taken to hospital, where police said they remain in stable condition.
On May 31, an internal investigation was launched after Brentford cyclist Keith Baker collided with a police car.
Miraculously Mr Baker, 54, of Hamilton Road, suffered no broken bones but officers confirmed the Directorate of Professional Standards, an independent investigative body, was looking into the case after receiving a complaint.
Superintendent Clive Chalk said "I have visited everybody concerned in today's accident, at West Middlesex Hospital. Fortunately I can confirm there are no serious injuries in the circumstances.
"The accident is being investigated by independent officers from the traffic (department). Hounslow on average receives between 50 to 100 emergency calls per day.
"Accidents such as these are rare although unfortunately we have had two accidents in the past month."
