Police have arrested a man in connection with a shooting in Chiswick.
The man was arrested on suspicion of possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life. It follows reports of a pair of men firing shots outside the Moran Hotel Globe Bar, in Chiswick High Road, at 8.15pm, on Saturday. It is believed two men were chasing a third man on foot.
A short time later police confirmed a man, believed to be aged 31, went to a London hospital with a gunshot wound to his forearm. The man was later discharged from hospital.
Detective Sergeant Paul Dempsey appealed for anyone who was on a bus close to the scene of the incident.
He said: "I am aware of a 237 bus on the Brentford to Hammersmith route which was near the scene. It is likely that passengers on that bus will have witnessed something, and I need them to come forward. A male remains in custody at a west London police station and Trident officers are investigating the incident."
Anyone with information should call the incident room on 020 8733 4774 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
