Neil Warnock will step up his efforts to bring players to Crystal Palace this week as he holds talks with more prospective signings.
Winger Darren Ambrose has already agreed to join the club from relegated Charlton but the Eagles are still thin on the ground when it comes to strikers.
With Warnock likely to listen to offers for Alan Lee and Simon Thomas, Shefki Kuqi still stalling on his contract offer and Calvin Andrew likely to be out until 2010, Palace will be left with no out and out striker come August.
Warnock has so far refuted rumours Danny Webber will join on a free from Sheffield United, but does hope to have some more strikers signed on soon.
He said: "I'm talking to a few more players this coming week who we are trying to get in, they're basically all strikers."
Warnock said recently that the majority of his playing squad are for sale, but admitted today there has been very little activity.
"I haven't had anything yet," he said.
"But that will probably start around July, I think most managers will wait until then."
