These rare photos of a Little Owl show the bird of prey, who was found tangled in debris by two retriever dogs, recovering at Cheam Wildlife Centre.
The Sutton Guardian was invited to photograph Lucy after a vet took her to the privately run centre for extra care and attention.
Lucy, who belongs to the smallest species of owl in Britain, is believed to have been found near a rabbit warren where Little Owls sometimes lay their eggs.
