A football supporter was taken to hospital by a pub landlord after he was punched by two men in an unprovoked attack.
The man, in his early 40s, was walking home from watching the Champions League final at a pub when he was attacked.
He had been enjoying the match and a few drinks at the New Inn pub in Myrtle Road, Sutton, on Wednesday, May 27, from 7.30pm.
As he was walking home down Greyhound Road, towards Throwley Way, at about 11.00pm he was approached by two men, who punched him.
The victim made his way back to the pub where the landlord took him to hospital.
A police spokesman said the suspects were two white men, aged in their early 20s.
He said one of them wore a plain white t-shirt.
