Police have confirmed a serial rapist who has targeted the elderly for the past 19 years appears to have struck again.
The man, dubbed Minstead Man, whose more than 100 victims are spread across south east London, including West Norwood and Croydon, has been linked to a recent burglary.
Police said nine break-ins in recent weeks have been referred to Operation Minstead, the unit set up to target the attacker.
A spokesman would not confirm where in south east London the incidents occurred, but said none were of a sexual nature.
The man is wanted for more than 100 unsolved break-ins on elderly peoples' homes, including four rapes and 23 sexual assaults since 1990.
He mainly targets elderly women, but some victims have also been men.
Last summer police released an e-fit of the man, believed to be an employed black man, aged between 35 and 45.
