A self-confessed ladies’ man boasts he can teach ugly and diffident men the art of seduction.
Rob King, 26 from Banstead, claims he is a professional pick-up artist or PUA who is willing to impart his tricks and tips on how to attract the ladies.
Mr King, or Kingy as he is known in the PUA circle, began researching the method after finishing a computer software degree at university and finding himself “at rock bottom”.
He explained: “At university I found women were really friendly and I had lots of mates I could go out and get drunk with.
“But after I left my social circle diminished and girls were really mean to me.”
A night on the internet revealed PUA techniques and he began learning the ropes and realising there were a lot of other men like him out there.
Using the technique had a dramatic effect on his love life he claims and he now has the “pick of girls”. It was then he realised he could help others.
He added: “It kind of spiralled from there. I started teaching people for free but it got the point where I had to decide whether to carry on and charge or stay as a software engineer.”
Mr King decided pulling ladies was the way forward and set up his website puamethod.com, running weekend “boot camps” to teach ugly men how to get attractive women.
Rather than just teaching chat-up lines, magic tricks and moves, Mr King said he offered a natural approach which instilled confidence in the men.
He said: “You can’t take a geek and get him to go out and trick a girl to come back to his nerd lair and play World of Warcraft.
“That is unsustainable. We work on building up their confidence, the female psychology and what attractive qualities you would have in a relationship.”
Mr King said most of his clients wanted to have more choice with the ladies but ultimately wanted a relationship.
But he conceded a small minority attended to learn how to get more sex, and if they wanted to would be able to use the technique to sleep with a different woman every night.
