Chipstead Golf Club’s 13th annual charity day saw the club raise more than £2,000 for Breakthrough Breast Cancer.
Eighty-eight top amateur lady golfers teed-off last Thursday, helping the club to raise money and awareness for the charity.
The competition was won by Chrissie Oldfield, a member of Tandridge Golf Club, with a respectable score of 38 points.
Jean Ambler, member at the Chipstead club and one of the event organisers, said: “Everybody was so enthusiastic in lending their support.
“A big thank you must go to all the staff at Chipstead for making the day a great success and the generous help received from the lady members here at the club.”
The event has been held at Chipstead Golf Club since 1996, when Jean Ambler began raising money for the Breakthrough Breast Cancer following the loss of a playing friend.
Over the years the club has raised more than £30,000 for the charity.
