Staff of Lovell, an Ashtead building project have raised £51,000 for Coins Foundation.
The Ashtead staff took part in a number of charity events over the last year including golfing days and a charity ball.
Their donation went to Coins Foundation, a charity which builds homes for orphans in Zambia, Uganda and Mozambique and have contributed towards the development of a secondary school in Uganda.
Rica Law, chief executive of the foundation, said: “I’d like to say a huge thank-you to everyone at Lovell who took part in this truly wonderful fund-raising effort.
“We have a three-year programme to help nearly 11,000 orphans and vulnerable children living in Mozambique and this project alone requires £4.14m to reach completion in 2011 so this contribution will be very much appreciated.”
