Five men have appeared in court charged with burglary and handling stolen goods after a crack down by Sutton’s crime squad last week.
Officers from Operation Jabin, set up to combat break-ins on borough boundaries, arrested four men on Thursday after two burglaries in Sutton and two in Merton.
One of the men was charged with assaulting a police officer, and a fifth man was arrested after another burglary in Sutton on Monday.
All five were remanded in custody at Sutton Magistrates’ Court.
