Cousins from Croydon and Sutton are enlisting with one of the country’s most decorated army regiments – the Princess of Wales’ Royal Regiment (PWRR).
Joining 2nd Battalion PWRR, Robert and Stuart Clarkson are both due to head out to the battalion’s current base in Cyprus in August.
Robert Clarkson, 18, from Carshalton, said: “I wanted to join the Army because I want a job that is both challenging and rewarding.
“I was interested in a career with the infantry and was advised to join our local Regiment PWRR.”
Robert’s cousin Stuart, 22, from Coulsdon added: “Robert told me so much about the Army and the exciting things you can do and experience so I decided to visit my local Army careers office.
“I wanted a job that was fulfilling and something that could give me a good career, and I believe I have found this by joining PWRR.”
