Sutton residents are being invited to exploit the recession by planning their funerals.
Age Concern will be holding a funeral planning day at its branch in Sutton's Civic Centre on Wednesday, June 24.
Visitors will be able to discuss their funeral arrangements with a trained advisor.
Age Concern, the commercial arm of the Age UK charity, says rising funeral costs coupled with low interest rates make now the perfect time to take out a funeral plan.
Judy Okeke of Age Concern Sutton said: "It makes sense given the current economic climate as you're effectively paying for your funeral at today's prices."
The event will take place between 10am and 2pm.
