A diamond birthday has been marked with a sparkling celebration in Wimbledon.
The Wimbledon and District Synagogue marked its 60th birthday with a charity ball earlier this month.
The black tie event, which featured dancing, dining and a raffle, raised money for the Synagogue and the Shooting Star Children’s Hospice in Hampton.
A spokesman for the ball committee said: “We were absolutely delighted with the success of the evening.
"The atmosphere was festive; and in these difficult economic times, that was very important.
"Moreover, we were happy with the amount of money raised.”
