Three people were charged on Wednesday with money laundering and fraud offences after officers discovered what they say are counterfeit clothing and works of art at their homes.
Grant Howard, 43, and Vesna Grandes-Howard, 32 of Birdhurst Rise, South Croydon are accused of being part of a scam involving the manufacture and sale of fraudulent works of art, namely limited edition Banksy screen prints and Vivienne Westwood and Malcolm Mclaren 'sex' and 'seditionaries' clothing.
Some of the works of art alleged to be by the graffiti artist Banksy were found at two homes - one in south Croydon and the other in Eastbourne, Sussex. Clothing was also seized from two London auction houses.
The trio are due to appear at Southwark Crown Court on August 18.
