LIMITED TIME DISABLED PERSONS PARKING PLACES - DARTNELL ROAD

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Croydon Council propose to make a Traffic Order under the relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended and all other enabling powers.

2. The general effect of the Order would be to designate new parking places at which vehicles displaying a disabled persons' badge may be left without charge in Dartnell Road, outside Davidson Primary School and opposite Exeter Road (2 bays). To provide that the bays would be in operation on Mondays to Fridays inclusive between the hours 8am to 9.30am and 2.30pm to 4pm and to restrict to 30 minutes any one period of waiting in the parking places and to prohibit the return to the same parking places of the same vehicle for a period of one hour.

3. A copy of the proposed Order and of all related Orders, of the Council's statement of reasons for proposing to make the Order and of the plans which indicate each length of road to which the Order relates, can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the last day of a period of six weeks beginning with the date on which the Order is made or, as the case may be, the Council decides not to make the Order, at the Enquiry Counter, 'Access Croydon' Facility, Ground Floor, Taberner House, Park Lane, Croydon, Surrey.

5. Persons desiring to object to the proposed Order should send a statement in writing of their objection and the grounds thereof to the Order Making Section, Parking Services, Community Services, 9th Floor, South West Side, Taberner House, Park Lane, Croydon, CR9 1EN or by emailing parking.design@croydon.gov.uk quoting the reference CS/PS/JAA/13/J17 by 15 July 2009.

6. The Order is intended to introduce limited time disabled parking bays outside Davidson Primary School in Dartnell Road to improve disabled access for pupils where parking is in heavy demand.
