Laura Robson admitted the big-match jitters had got the better of her after throwing away a winning position in her Grand Slam debut.
Robson was a set and a break up against world number 33 Daniela Hantuchova before crumbling to a 3-6, 6-4, 6-2 defeat.
And the Wimbledon teenager was angered by her late collapse.
She said: "I don't know what happened.
"But when I went a break up in the second set I just got really nervous.
"I started making errors that I shouldn't have.
"She started to get more balls in the court and more returns in and I hit a couple of double faults, especially on the big points.
"So I'm a little bit upset, but I'm still proud of how I played."
