Cherkley Court on the outskirts of Leatherhead is to host an evening of Italian opera.
The former home of Lord Beaverbrook will stage its own Glyndbourne type festival on Saturday July 11.
Andrew and Sarah-Jane Morris will sing on the terrace steps of the grade II listed building – the home of the first Lord Beaverbrook.
The celebrated duo will be performing arias from a selection of popular operas and operettas.
Works by Verdi, Donizetti, Puccini, and Lehar will feature, including La Traviata, La Boheme, The Merry Widow, Land of Smiles and many more.
Two glasses of champagne and a selection of refreshments are included in the ticket price which can be enjoyed from the terrace where Lord Beaverbrook entertained Winston Churchill, Rudyard Kipling and many other leading figures of the day.
The evening begins at 7.45pm and tickets are available priced £28.75 each. Call 01372 380980 for details.
