Crystal Palace manager Neil Warnock is resigned to losing Shefki Kuqi this summer but will not shut the door on the striker.

The Finnish international was the Eagles top scorer last season but is currently out of contract and stalling on a new one-year deal he was offered in May.

Since then he has been linked with clubs in Germany as well as relegated sides West Bromwich Albion and Middlesbrough but has yet to make up his mind as to where his future lies.

With the Eagles set to return to pre-season training in eight days time it seems unlikely the 32-year-old will join up with his old team mates.

"I have just presumed he is not coming back," said Warnock.

"We have spoken to him and the door is always open, there's no deadline for when he has to make a decision but I just presume he is not coming back."
