Saturday marked the 24th anniversary of the London Peace Pagoda, which, situated in Battersea Park, is visited by thousands of people each year.
To mark the occasion monks and nuns from many Buddhist traditions, along with representatives from the major faiths, offered prayers for peace.
The pagoda was decorated with cherry blossoms and flowers for the event, and, following speeches, there were performances from musicians and Indian and Sri Lankan dancers.
