Davis Cup star Josh Goodall reckons Sutton Tennis & Squash Club will be the ideal safe haven having crashed out of Wimbledon in the first round.
The 23-year-old lost out in a five set thriller 6-4 6-7 4-6 6-3 4-6 to Frenchman Michael Llodra on a miserable day for British tennis in SW19.
World number three Andy Murray provided the only highlight with a four-set victory over Robbie Kendrick as Anne Keothavong, Georgie Stoop, Katie O'Brien, Alex Bogdanovic all crashed out in the singles.
Goodall at least put up a fight having combined his grass court preparations at Queens and Nottingham with appearances for Sutton earlier this month.
And he is likely to continue with that involvement for the time being as captain Steve Tiddy's men bid to successfully defend the title they won last year.
"I'm quite loyal. It is important to have the fun side of tennis as well. I like playing in the competition and I like playing for my county," he said.
"It is nice to play in a more relaxed atmosphere and see some old friends."
World number 188 Goodall battled back from a set down on Court Two to force a fifth set, but he ran out of steam against a man ranked 51 places above
And the Basingstoke-born youngster reckons there is plenty for him to learn from the experience.
"I was disappointed, but I think in general I'm pretty proud of myself," he added.
"I've improved massively even in the last couple of weeks.
"It would be great to have won the match, but I can take a lot of positives from that."
