The competition is hotting up in Croydon Commitment’s C100 challenge.

There are 14 teams competing to raise as much cash as they can from their starting capital of £100.

And the latest results show the teams are really going for it this year.

Mott MacDonald is leading the way with £435 raised by its team The Wild Bores.

But catching up is PPF, who have raised £302.40 from a Father’s Day raffle, amid plans for a local village fete to raise further funds.

And Lexis Nexis has posted £223.37 so far after a dress down funky t-shirt day, with the best dressed winning a prize.

Other ideas from the teams have included a cricket sweepstake, cake sales and a football tournament.

Anything is possible, providing it is not illegal, to try and make money and team members can donate cash if the team loses its £100.

The team which raises the most money wins a celebration meal for six, including wine and transport in a stretched limousine, at Gaucho’s Grill in London, on Friday, July 20.

The money raised by all the teams will be donated to local charities.

This year’s competition started on June 8 and ends on July 13 when all teams will be asked to report their final totals to the organisers as well as hand in the funds.

The winning team will then be announced on the morning of July 19 at the Hilton Hotel in Purley Way, Croydon.
