A man falling onto the tracks at Surbiton train station last night caused train delays in the area.
Some trains were unable to stop at the station while others were delayed by up to 15 minutes.
It is believed the man fell from the platform onto the track beside platform three.
"We were called at approximately 6.15pm to reports of a fall at Surbiton train station," a London Ambulance Service spokesman said.
"We sent one ambulance crew. A man reported to be in his forties was taken to Kingston Hospital."
There is currently no indication as to the extent of the man's injuries or the circumstances of the fall.
