Kingston’s flourishing creative talent will be on show during June and July with professional, amateur and student shows opening their doors to the public.

Kingston Summer Art Season will consist of core exhibitions in Kingston Museum, the Stanley Picker Gallery, the Penny School Gallery and Fusion Arts studios.

The season will launch with an exhibition of selected work by Kingston University students in John Lewis Kingston’s riverside restaurant on Friday, June 26.

The work of one student will be awarded the John Lewis Kingston Summer Arts Season prize of £500.

Other shows, which serve the purpose of animating the borough, include everything from bus stop art to the imaginative Life in a Box installations and various Open Studio events.
