Flags were raised on the town hall at Epsom on Monday to mark the approach of Armed Forces Day on Saturday, June 27.
The mayor, Councillor Jan Mason, officiated at Epsom’s flag raising ceremony, which was attended by councillors, representatives from Ewell’s 135 Independent Squadron RE (V) and the Burma Star Association.
The flag raising service was held at 10.30am in unison with councils and organisations across the United Kingdom.
