The hunt is on for Lambeth’s carer of the year.
The award ceremony is organised by the council and recognises the thousands of people who, unpaid and often unrecognised by the public, dedicate themselves to helping family and friends who need essential help and support.
Cabinet member for health and wellbeing, Councillor Lorna Campbell, said many amazing carers existed who had overcome barriers, and personal challenges such as their own illness, to still put the people they care for first.
People have been asked to nominate carers they feel are particularly exceptional.
The winner will receive gift vouchers worth £250, and all carers shortlisted will be celebrated at a special ceremony.
You can nominate by writing to Lambeth Carers Award, Phoenix House, 10 Wandsworth Road, SW8 2LL, download an application form at lambeth.gov.uk/carers, email carersawards@lambeth.gov.uk, or call 020 7926 0773.
Nominations must be received by 5pm on July 31.
