Fulham Football Club is hosting a Thames river clean-up from Craven Cottage this Saturday, and is calling upon volunteers to help out.
Between 12 and 3pm volunteers will help to clean a section of the Thames foreshore between Bishop’s Park and Craven Cottage.
The Club has teamed up with Hammersmith & Fulham Police and the Thames 21 environmental charity to host this event. Members of the local community, fans, neighbours, club employees and local police officers will be assisting.
A Fulham Football Club spokesman said: "All you need are some very old clothes that might get a bit dirty, some energy and bags of enthusiasm. Safety equipment including boots and gloves will be provided for you."
Volunteers will have the chance to a win signed prizes from the club for the most interesting finds.
A safety briefing will take place at 12.30pm in the club's SW6 Lounge prior to access to the foreshore at 1.00pm.
If you would like to volunteer email rivercleanup@fulhamfc.com or call Georgina Agnies on 020 8336 7585.
