East Molesey and Weston Green has a new neighbourhood specialist officer (NSO).

PC Peter Bazley has taken over from PC Jane Eames, who had been the area’s NSO for three years.

Before taking up the role, PC Bazley worked for Surrey Police in the North Surrey Criminal Investigation Department at Staines and has also worked as a response officer.

He will now work closely with community support officer Justin Jones to tackle local priorities.

He said: “I was attracted to the NSO role because I enjoy being out and about in the community and speaking to people.

“I’m looking forward to continuing the team’s good work in the area and working with Justin Jones, the community and our partner organisations to take action to address local concerns.”

PC Bazley has already been out on patrol in the area, getting to know the community, but is keen to meet with residents and hear about local issues. He will be at the next East Molesey panel meeting on Wednesday, July 8, at St Mary’s Church Hall in Bell Road, at 7.30pm. All residents are invited to attend.
