Wandsworth’s mental health trust is to see a period of stability after it appointed a permanent chief executive this week.

Judy Wilson, who took over the reins in February on a temporary basis, has been chosen to lead South West London and St George’s Mental Health Trust (the Trust).

Mrs Wilson has a background in mental health nursing and was previously the chief executive of North East London NHS Foundation Trust for four years.

She said: “The past few months have been challenging, but I have really enjoyed my time here and have seen a lot of good work and great commitment among my colleagues.”

The trust was rocked when the former chief executive, Peter Houghton, resigned in February.
