One lucky shopper got a deal to remember at Centre Court shopping centre last week as she picked up a car worth more than £6,000 for just a couple of quid.

Annette Gifford, from Earlsfield, was given the Chevrolet Matiz. She bought a ticket in a prize draw to raise money for the Wimbledon Civic Theatre Trust and promote the UK premiere of High School Musical 2, on stage at the Wimbledon Theatre from August 22.

The Wimbledon Civic Theatre Trust is based at the playhouse in the Broadway and works alongside young people with special educational needs, introducing them to dramatics and the theatre for the first time.
