Developer Okra looks set to transform Croydon’s Wellesley Road.
The Dutch team has been announced as winner of the council’s competition to redesign the main thoroughfare through Croydon.
While the formalities are yet to be finished, it seems all but certain Okra will be handed £40-50m for the six-year redevelopment.
Okra faced competition from teams including Edward Cullinan Architects, James Corner Field Operations and Hawkins Brown.
