Hollywood actor turned London theatre impresario, Kevin Spacey, has backed two Wimbledon College of Art graduates to make it to the top of the film industry.
Phil Sansom and Olly Williams met in 2001 at the college and went on to create the short film Black Hole, which impressed a panel of judges from the Virgin Media Shorts competition, led by Spacey.
Sir Richard Branson was even involved in the judging process and funded their £30,000 first prize. The duo will spend the cash on creating their next film.
