A charity day has been organised in memory of a nine-year-old boy who was killed in a road accident.
Dale Anscombe died nine years ago in a road accident in Outwood Lane, Chipstead.
His family and friends are determined that he will not be forgotten and the event on Saturday, July 18, will raise money for the Children’s Trust at Tadworth Court.
The event gets underway at 10.30am when five-a-side football teams aged 16 and over, including veterans, must register to take part at the recreation ground in Buckland Road, Lower Kingswood.
Then there is non stop fun with the tournament itself, stalls, a rodeo bull, a bouncy castle and more besides throughout the day.
In the evening, the social club in Buckland Road opens its doors to host the event, including a charity auction.
Dale’s death has already brought about road safety measures on the road where he died. A roundabout has been installed to slow speeding traffic.
