Casualty stars Matt Bardock and Jane Hazlegrove, better known to their fans as paramedics Jeff and Dixie, will be leaving their ambulance behind and travelling to Banstead Centre by more conventional means to perform the opening ceremony at the centre’s summer fair on Saturday July 11.

Organisers are hoping that medical treatment will not be needed as the two greet their fans and get the summer fair under way at 10am.

The centre, in the Horseshoe, is hoping for a good turnout and generous support to raise funds to help keep the pensioners’ centre operating successfully another year.
