Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals NHS Trust has achieved its best results in this year’s environment and action team inspection.
Conducted on behalf of the National Patient Safety Agency, this year’s inspection gave the trust an excellent score for food and good scores for environment and patient privacy and dignity.
The annual assessments focus on key areas such as infection prevention and control, patient privacy and accommodation - important indicators for patient satisfaction.
William Britton, hotel services manager, said: “We are delighted with this year’s results, which demonstrate our commitment to improving the patient environment.
“We have made some real investments and thus improvements over the course of last year and I am delighted to see this borne out by these impressive results.”
Future works include improvements to ward areas which will ensure men and women can be kept in separate areas.
