PROPOSED WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN VARIOUS LOCATIONS IN CROYDON.
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Croydon Council proposes to make a Traffic Order under the relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and all other enabling powers.
2. The general effect of the Order would be to:-
(a) introduce waiting restrictions "at any time" throughout the week in the lengths of streets specified in Schedule 1 to this Notice;
(b) introduce waiting restrictions which would operate between 7am and 7pm, Monday to Saturday inclusive in Selsdon Road as specified in Schedule 2 to this Notice;
(c) introduce waiting restrictions which would operate between 11am and 12 noon, Monday to Friday inclusive in Purley Oaks Road as specified in Schedule 3 to this Notice;
(d) introduce loading restrictions between 7am and 10am and 4pm and 7pm on Monday to Friday inclusive in a length of Selsdon Road specified in Schedule 4 to this Notice.
3. A copy of the proposed Order and all related documents can be inspected until the last day of a period of six weeks beginning with the date on which the Order was made or, as the case may be, the Council decides not to make the Order, during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive at the Enquiry Counter, "Access Croydon" Facility, Taberner House, Park Lane, Croydon, Surrey.

5. Persons desiring to object to the proposed Order should send a statement in writing of their objection and the grounds thereof to the Order Making Section, Parking Services, Community Services, 9th Floor, South West Side, Taberner House, Park Lane, Croydon, CR9 1EN or email :Parking.Design@croydon.gov.uk quoting the reference CS/PS/JGH/7/B30 by 5 August 2009.
6. The Order is intended to introduce 'At any time' waiting restrictions at various locations, 7am to 7pm, Monday to Saturday waiting restrictions and 7am and 10am and 4pm and 7pm, Monday to Friday loading restrictions in Selsdon Road and 11am to 12 noon, Monday to Friday waiting restrictions in Purley Oaks Road. The measures are intended to address all or some of the following situations; improve safety by providing increased visibility, especially at junctions and on bends; prevent obstructive parking so that turning vehicles have sufficient manoeuverability and improve access for emergency and public service vehicles.
