St John’s Therapy Centre in Battersea was officially opened last week by Ann Keen, parliamentary under-secretary of the department of health.
The centre, in St John's Hill, offers a range of health services, two GP practices, a day hospital and x-ray facilities.
Mrs Keen said: “Due to my nursing background, it is always a pleasure to return to the health service and witness first hand the amazing work carried out in centres, clinics and hospitals across the country.
“One of the most noticeable things about St John’s Therapy Centre is that in such a short space of time, this modern healthcare facility has made such a huge difference to people’s lives and the quality of care they receive.
“I have met people who have been through some terrible experiences, but as a result of receiving therapy at St John’s and the help of the centre’s dedicated staff they are now better equipped to cope with their situation and move on with their lives.”
