Collecting money for charity was a piece of cake on Friday, July 10, when staff at Elmbridge Council raised some dough.
Staff members took part in a charity cake competition to raise funds for the mayor’s charity, the Newlife Foundation for Disabled Children.
The mayor of Elmbridge Councillor James Vickers and corporate communications manager Jane Horsfield judged the competition and gave first prize to Claygate & Oxshott Children’s Centre co-ordinator Kate Hone for her Victoria sandwich.
All the entries were sold to staff members, raising £87 for the charity.
