Teenage girls stormed HMV in Croydon in their hundreds on Monday afternoon as pop stars JLS signed copies of their debut single.
The clean-cut quartet were in town to promote their new single Beat It.
They greeted their teenage fans, signing copies of their CD and posing for photographs.
The ordered scenes were a far cry from the chaos last time the boys visited Croydon.
Word of a free concert at Fairfield Halls let to a crush of fans outside the front.
JLS, made up of Croydon’s JB Gill, Aston, Marvin and Oritse, have a busy week of radio and television interviews to promote their new single which they are hoping will reach number one.
The X Factor finalists told the Croydon Guardian in an interview last week they are living the dream.
JB said: “Other bands like Take That tried for years before they got to a recognised level. It is fantastic it has happened to us so quickly.”
