Chipstead U17’s were awarded the sportsmanship award by the Tandridge League for their division last night.
Eamonn Taggart, chairman of youth section, said: "We are all extremely proud of manager Ian Pettifor’s achievements with his lads this season.
"The winning of both the Surrey U18 Cup and the Tandridge League U17A division is quite an achievement but this is equally important to our club and we thank him and his team for his tremendous contribution”.
Buster Dorrill, Chipstead’s director of football addedL: "We are delighted with this award and believe Ian and his team have made a major contribution to our drive to continually improve standards at the club.
"It is a great example for our current members and parents of prospective youth section players considering placing their lads with Chipstead Football Club."
Ian and his team will receive the award at the Chipstead Open Day planned for August 16 at 2pm.
