Hundreds of screaming fans had to be turned away from Croydon’s HMV store as they tried to meet X Factor stars JLS.
The boy band, whose members include Croydon’s Jonathan “JB” Gill, came to town to sign copies of their latest single Beat Again.
Only 200 wristbands were available on Monday to get in the store and pick up a signed copy from the boys.
But that did not stop hundreds queueing in the morning hoping they would be allowed in.
One member of staff at the HMV branch said the queues were “vast”.
Hundreds came back to the store having been turned away once the wristbands went and stood outside to try and catch a glimpse of the four-piece.
Their single, Beat Again, has made No 2 in the midweek singles charts and some are tipping them to get this week’s No 1.
