Local musician Emma Hutchinson would like to teach the world to sing with her two new music books for children.
The two books, A Little Birdsong - Tales and A Little Birdsong - More Tales, aim to get families together more.
Ms Hutchinson, who lives near Uxbridge Road, said: "There are two things that drive me and have done since I started: music and children.
"There needs to be singing all the time - when you are feeling down, when you are feeling great."
She said many adults seem to think music involved dropping their children off with a musician and leaving them to it.
She said: "They could do it together. It's not about being a skilled musician."
The 46-year-old's first book, A Little Birdsong, and accompanying CD featured nursery rhymes and songs to enable teachers and parents to introduce the under-fives to music.
The latest two volumes take 14 songs from the original but also include mini-stories illustrated by Charlotte Cleveland.
Ms Hutchinson, who says babies and young children respond with all their senses, has 20 years' experience in the field.
Fans of the series will be pleased to learn more books are already in the pipeline.
She said: "This, for me, is a life project. I will carry on and on."
Emma Hutchinson will be signing copies of her books at Cupboard cafe, 1 Oaklands Grove, Uxbridge Road, Shepherds Bush, from 6.30pm on September 9.
