One of the country’s leading cheese wholesalers has moved to Nine Elms, Battersea, bringing more than a hundred jobs to the area.
H&B Foods ltd, which employs 275 people across the country and has a turnover of about £65m, transferred 110 jobs from sites in Brixton and Park Royal to premises at Stewarts Road.
A spokesman for H&B Foods said: “Battersea is a perfect location for us to re-launch our brand. We are close to many of our customers and just minutes from our sauce production site at New Covent Garden Market.
“Overheads here are very reasonable compared to other areas and our staff love the location.
“We are also excited by the council’s regeneration plans for Nine Elms and we want to be part of this area’s development.”
