A teenage string quartet have organised a series of free concerts in care centres around Sutton.
The young four-piece, comprising of cellist Alastair Morgan, 16, viola player Felicity Myerstough, 18, and violinists Katie Evans, 18, and Sonia Tong, 17, will perform their first concert at Ludlow Lodge in Wallington on July 14.
The musicians who go by the name of The Amici Quartet, are all members of the Sutton Youth Symphony Orchestra and have been playing their instruments for eight years.
Alastair said: “We’re trying to do our bit for society, we all love performing and have a fun time rehearsing.
"We approached the care centres to play concerts because it’s something they will enjoy and we will enjoy playing in front of a large and appreciative audience.”
