A 50-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of Earlsfield sex offender Andrew Cunningham.
The arrest took place at 9am on Thursday, July 9, and the man was bailed to return to a south London police station in early September.
Mr Cunningham was last seen at 6.10pm on Tuesday, December 9 outside his caravan in Riverside Road and found dead at 8am the next day.
His genitals were mutilated and there were multiple stab wounds to the head, neck and chest.
Police also said his caravan had been ransacked, with a wallet containing up to £6,000 and a Scottish £100 note missing.
Cunningham was convicted of unlawful sex with a 15-yearold girl in 2001.
In June police offered a £20,000 reward for information leading to the conviction of his killer.
