Bestselling children’s author Dame Jacqueline Wilson will be opening the food fair at Garsons Farm this weekend.
Dame Jacqueline, who was responsible for the popular Tracy Beaker series of books, will open the fair at 10am on Saturday and will stick around afterwards to sign some books.
The fair is open on Saturday, July 18, from 10am to 5pm and Sunday, July 19, from 11am to 4pm and specialist food producers will be offering free tastings in a marquee next to Garsons Farm shop.
Nigel Chandler, the farm shop’s manager, said: “The food fair is a great way for our customers to meet the food producers, many of whom offer an alternative to mass produced food. Garsons Farm champions low food miles so our customers can be informed of locally sourced food.”
