By community Correspondent Anthea Lashley-Small Gone are the days when students at school did only reading, writing and arithmetic, as they are now rubbing shoulders with business men and women and giving presentations and reports that would compete with professionals in the corporate world. This was witnessed at the recent Sutton Chamber VIP Breakfast when students from Carshalton Girls delivered their report on the ‘Money for Mobiles’ project they organised to raise funds to support a St. Raphael’s charity.
Sutton Chamber is supporting the apprenticeship scheme and in association with Sutton Education Business Partnership, has been encouraging its members and other businesses to support the scheme.
Businesses wishing to be involved with the Sutton Education Business Partnership may contact Chris Jones on 020 8770 6962 or Sutton Chamber on 020 8642 96618.
Ends.
