Croydon man critical after Rotary Field attack
A man in his 30s has been left in a critical condition after being attacked last night.
The incident happened at about 10.30pm in Rotary Field, near Brighton Road in Purley.
Two areas of the field remained taped off by police this morning.
A police spoksman said: "Officers attended and discovered a man, believed to be 30, suffering injuries.
"He was taken to a south London hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
"Officers from Croydon investigate and retain an open mind as to the motive to this attack."
No arrests have been made.
